Bartlett police add new mobile command center vehicle

Bartlett police displayed their new mobile command center vehicle before the village board meeting Tuesday.

The vehicle, which measures 24 feet long, houses independent work stations, a built-in computer system and a dedicated emergency generator, among other features.

The police department says they hope to use the vehicle while investigating major incidents, to help with recruitment, and during special events such as parades and National Night Out.

Funds for the vehicle came from money the department received for seizing drug-related assets.
