Images: #TBT gallery looks back at homecoming

If it's October, then it's football season and the annual tradition at high schools and colleges — homecoming.

We look back at homecoming from the 1960s and '70s in Cook and DuPage counties. The crowning of kings and queens, a homecoming court and parades were all part of the festivities. Students had crowns, regal robes, corsages and school spirit to celebrate a tradition going back to the early 1900s.
