Flights will continue to honor veterans

Just wanted to thank you for the terrific article by Burt Constable on Honor Flight Chicago, some of our volunteers and most importantly, of course, our veterans.

It was clear to me that you were touched by the whole event and clearly "got it." We know that we are losing the members of this generation quickly, so our mission has been urgent and bittersweet. Still, we are compelled to honor as many veterans as we can, while we can.

The organization will move on to recognizing the members of the "Forgotten War" - the conflict in Korea.

We are confident that the public, including school groups, Scouts, JrROTC, friends and families will continue to help us honor that most precious of our nation's resources, our veterans.

Thanks for being part of that mission.
