New Tween Advisory Group meets

The library's new Tween Advisory Group (T.A.G.) hosted its first meeting with 26 very enthusiastic fourth- through sixth-graders on October 2.

During a team building game, the tweens made a yarn web that showed how much they have in common. The group decorated pumpkins as popular book characters for the Kids' World annual pumpkin display and made catapults and targets to be used during a Halloween event at the library.

The group plans to meet monthly over pizza to complete service projects, create programs for tweens and play games. Participants earn volunteer hours.
