Fox Country Players to present 'Oliver!' Oct. 16-18

Director Patrick Stinson and musical director Nan Grommes have been hard at work transforming Waubonsee Community College's stage into the set of Charles Dickens' story of "Oliver Twist."

"Oliver!" is a wonderful musical, covering a wide range of musical styles and emotions.

Familiar songs include: "As Long As He Needs Me," "Consider Yourself," and "Food, Glorious Food." It is thought provoking and well as comedic, as it tells the tale of Oliver Twist and his journey as an orphan growing up near London.

The show goes on the stage at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Waubonsee Community College, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive in Sugar Grove.

Tickets, which are $20 or $15 for students and seniors, can be purchased from Waubonsee at www.waubonseetickets.com, as well as at the door.
