Community leadership breakfast to focus on changing health care landscape

Elgin, Ill. - The Advocate Charitable Foundation at Advocate Sherman Hospital will host a discussion on the changing health care landscape Thursday, Oct. 22 at the new Advocate Outpatient Center - Huntley.

Residents are invited to join Sherman Hospital President Linda Deering for breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the outpatient center, 12151 Regency Parkway. Deering will discuss the changing health care landscape and give an update on the hospital's strategic vision of "Leading Health" in Huntley.

Dr. Azmey Matarieh, cardiologist with the Advocate Heart Institute at Sherman Hospital, also will share an update on the new medical facility, which is operated by Advocate Medical Group and Sherman Hospital. It offers primary care, cardiology, physical therapy and community programming.

Dr. Jose L. Guevara, family medicine physician the outpatient center, also will share his practice philosophies during the free event.

The Regency Square Parkway site serves as a temporary location as planning gets underway on a new, permanent outpatient center at the northwest of the Route 47 and the I-90 interchange. The permanent site will house the same services as the temporary site along with a variety of specialty clinics and other convenient outpatient services. The new, permanent site is expected to open in early 2017.
