Lombard man found guilty after car strikes, kills Crystal Lake South grad

An Illinois State University student from Lombard was convicted Thursday of felony aggravated driving under the influence for the death of a Crystal Lake South High School grad earlier this year, according to reports.

Both men were attending college in Normal in January when Joshua Dunn, 22, struck Benjamin Allison with his car. Allison never regained consciousness and died days later.

A judge last week found Dunn guilty on additional lesser charges of misdemeanor DUI and three petty driving offenses, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Dunn faces 7 to 29 years in prison but could be given probation, should the judge find that there are extraordinary circumstances. He's expected to be sentenced Nov. 20.
