Girls volleyball: St. Edward, Batavia earn victories

St. Edward d. Guerin: Erin Kremer had 5 kills and Dominique Washington added 4 kills and 3 digs as the Green Wave rolled to a 25-5, 25-15 Metro Suburban West win. Gabriella Tripicchio added 7 digs and 10 assists while Megan Barth had 5 digs for St. Edward (9-5, 4-3).

Batavia d. Elgin: Maddy Astling had 8 kills and Micaela Hix added 7 for the Bulldogs in a 25-19, 25-11 Upstate Eight River win. Aasha Dave' had 4 aces and 2 blocks in the win and Katelynn Fegan added 8 digs and 2 aces.

St. Charles North d. Streamwood: Led by 8 aces from Sam Lappin, the North Stars (18-3) served 18 aces in a 25-8, 25-7 win. Jaclyn Taylor (11 assists), Abby Graham (6 kills), Daley Krage (5 kills) and Claire Anderson (3 kills) also contributed.

West Chicago d. Bartlett: Megan Regan had 4 kills for Bartlett in a 25-11, 25-20 Upstate Eight Valley loss.

St. Charles East d. Larkin: Avery Macklin had 4 kills, Rachael Garland 9 digs and Kyra Stavik 8 assists to lead the Saints (15-5, 5-1) to a 25-6, 25-18 UEC River win.

Geneva d. Glenbard East: In an Upstate Eight crossover, Ally Barrett had 10 kills, Mikayla Lanasa 23 assists and Payton Bellano 10 digs to lead the Vikings (18-2) to a 25-19, 25-18 win. Grace Loberg (7 kills), Ally Mullen (4 kills) and Julia Brown (3 kills) also contributed.

Cary-Grove d. McHenry: Ally Vasquez had 10 kills, Delaney Bayer 11 digs and Maddy Katchen 5 blocks as Cary-Grove (17-1, 7-0) won 25-16, 25-7 in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division.

CL South d. Jacobs: Kendall Kilberger (12 kills, 9 digs), Jordan Proszenyak (7 kills, 5 digs), Kleja Cerniauskaite (6 blocks) and Emily Slimko (16 assists) led the Gators (8-7, 4-2) to a 25-20, 16-25, 25-16 FVC Valley win.

Harvest Christian d. Christian Liberty: In the Northeastern Athletic Conference, Amanda Cassidy (7 kills, 12 digs), Mikayla Robinson (4 blocks), Ellie Burzlaff (6 kills) and Candis Kaplan (11 digs) powered the Lions (10-9, 5-0) to a 25-10, 25-12 win.

Keith County Day d. Westminster Christian: Kristen Mason had 3 kills and 2 aces for Westminster (3-18, 1-5) in a 25-12, 25-8 NAC loss.
