No charges yet in fatal Bartlett crash that killed pedestrian

No charges have been filed yet following a fatal crash on Lake Street in Bartlett early Monday morning that left a female pedestrian dead.

Lake Street between Naperville Road and Lambert Land was closed for more than five hours as police investigated what caused a Chevrolet Cruze traveling east on Lake Street, just east of Lambert Lane, to strike and kill the woman about 5:30 a.m.

Identities of the pedestrian and driver have not yet been released. No charges had been filed as of Monday night.

"The investigation is ongoing," Bartlett Sgt. Jeff Pretkelis said. "I really don't have any new information to put out there tonight."
