Local shopper wins big at Woodfield Mall

Shoppers all over the country have enjoyed prizes, discounts and other perks from the Simon Rewards program for over a year, but three weeks ago, Zenia Contreras of Belvidere, Ill., won the Summer Grand Prize: a $10,000 shopping spree.

Contreras accumulated Simon Rewards points for visiting and shopping at Woodfield Mall, one of the largest shopping destinations in the United States, which along with other Chicago area Simon centers Orland Square and Gurnee Mills, provides Simon Rewards members with instant prizes and exclusive perks. She was awarded her prize during a special presentation at Woodfield Mall on Monday, Sept. 21.

Simon Rewards is a free loyalty program that invites guests to earn points for shopping, dining and visiting the mall, which can then be redeemed for chances to win a variety of prizes, including gift cards, electronics, vacations and even a luxury car. Shoppers are also eligible for exclusive perks and offers, such as access to Reserved Parking spaces.

"The Simon Rewards Program offers shoppers around the country extra benefits for what they already love doing - enjoying all that Simon malls have to offer," said Heather Lloyd, director of marketing and business development at Woodfield Mall. "We are very excited for Ms. Contreras and are obviously thrilled that the Simon Rewards Grand Prize winner earned her points shopping at Woodfield Mall."
