District 95 hosts presentation on state school legisalation
The Lake Zurich Unit District 95 community is invited to attend a presentation by Caryn Valdez, executive director of ED-RED, at the Thursday, Sept. 24, school board meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m. in the Lake Zurich High School library, 300 Church St., Lake Zurich. Valadez will provide information about the organization and will discuss some of the hot topics currently facing school districts including: education funding reform (SB16/SB1); property tax freeze (SB318); pension cost shift (HB4272). ED-RED's mission is to provide "a united voice advocating for the diverse needs of suburban schools." Parents and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting.
