ARS/Rescue Rooter Surprises Teacher With Classroom Gifts

ARS/Rescue Rooter knows how important teachers are to their community. While recently celebrating their month long commitment to serving the community ARS fell upon a request for donations from Ms. Harris, a first grade teacher at Oliver Wendell Holmes Elementary School, in Oak Park, IL.

Ms. Harris also wanted to make a difference in the community by helping her students to learn about community helpers, community workers and different ways to make the community a better place. Ms. Harris posted a donation request to help fund her "Making a Difference In The Community" project on DonorsChoose.org, and the rest was history.

ARS/Rescue Rooter, with the help from the principle at Oliver Wendell Holmes Elementary School was able to surprise Ms. Harris with the entire selection of books, materials and a gift card to complete the classroom project.

"Ms. Harris gives so much to our community by caring for our children and teaching them the importance of a strong community, we are so thankful to be a part of her story and to help build her classroom's library" Patrizia DeChiara/ARS of Illinois
