Schaumburg Library offers business programs

Several free business programs covering human resources, marketing, grants and more are coming to the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Registration is required. To register for the following programs, call (847) 923-3347 or visit the Information Desk on the library's second floor.

"Solid Foundations in HR" will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, in the library's Adult Classroom. Presenter Kristi Czapiewski of CoLean Consulting LLC will explain key functional areas of human resources management that a business owner may need to consider.

"Generate New Clients" will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, in the Adult Classroom. Business Mastery Mentor Bonnie Richter will discuss the central components for creating and implementing a winning plan to build a profitable customer base.

"Market your Small Business" will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, in the Adult Classroom. Presenter Catherine Marsden will explain how entrepreneurs can spend just one hour per day on marketing. She will break down the method into seven easy steps.

"Intro to Finding Grants" will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in the Adult Computer Lab. Librarian Jean Dravet will explain various ways to find funding for organizations using Foundation Director Online, which is available on STDL computers.

She will also present a hands-on introduction to FDO-Professional, along with an overview of resources available through the library's Nonprofit Resource Center.
