Presence St. Joseph Auxiliary to host 'Roaring 20s' gala Oct. 3
Expect an evening of glamorous flapper dresses and fedora hats as Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin celebrates the "Roaring 20s" at the auxiliary's annual gala on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Chicago Marriott Northwest, 4800 Hoffman Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with cocktails and raffles. Dinner begins at 7 p.m., followed by a live auction and entertainment by Phase 4. Dressing in costume is encouraged and the best costume will win a prize. Live auction items include a trip to San Francisco/Bloomingdale's Shopping Spree, a Sam Adams Brewery Tour in Boston, a chateaubriand dinner for eight with wine in the winner's home, four Bears tickets with a signed football, and a spa and fitness package.
The Presence St. Joseph Medical Staff will present the Vikram V. Shah M.D. Award to Dr. Joong H. Choh, a cardiovascular surgeon. The medical staff elects to honor one physician each year and will donate a $10,000 gift to the Presence St. Joseph Hospital Foundation in Dr. Choh's name.
Tickets are $175 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Presence St. Joseph Hospital Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center Therapeutic Gym Renovation Project.
