District 103 hosts preschool screening

Lincolnshire/Prairie View Elementary District 103 is offering a fall preschool screening for district residents Tuesday, Oct. 6, for 3- and 4-year-old children for whom there may be concerns in the areas of gross or fine motor skills, speech/language, or conceptual development. Vision/hearing screenings will also be offered. This screening is for preschoolers with developmental concerns and not for determining a child's kindergarten readiness. The screening is 9 to 11 a.m. at Laura B. Sprague School, 2425 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. Residents of District 103 who would like to have a child participate in this screening should reserve an appointment time by calling Mary Burks in student services at (847) 457-9313 no later than Wednesday, Sept. 30. Questions regarding the screening process should be addressed to: Gina Finaldi, assistant director of student services, at (847) 295-4030 or gfinaldi@d103.org; or Kay Handcock, early childhood teacher, at khandcock@d103.org.
