Sente tours Career Resource Center

Helping to raise awareness of local resources available to help put residents back to work, State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, recently toured the Career Resource Center in Lake Forest.

"As state representative, one of my top priorities is to visit service providers, nonprofits and other organizations throughout the community to learn more about their operations and the programs available to aid constituents," Sente said.

"It is reassuring to know that there are a multitude of resources available to give jobseekers a competitive edge in an increasingly globalized economy."

During Sente's tour, she learned more about the various services and programs provided to help members of the community who are currently searching for work or looking to further their career. Among the services offered are one-on-one coaching, interview preparation, networking sessions, computer training and job search resources.

Residents looking for additional information are encouraged to contact the Career Resource Center by phone at (847) 295-5626 or by visiting careerresourcecenter.org.

Sente maintains a list of community resources available throughout House District 59 on her legislative website, RepSente.com.
