Things are looking up for Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich (3-4) will next host Lockport in the Round of 16 at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Lockport stunned No. 3 Streamwood 1-0 in PK's on Saturday morning.

Grabowski made the big save for the Bears on the fifth penalty kick, diving to his right to keep the kicks even at 4-4.

"It's really nice because you know that you're going to change the way the game is going to end," said Grabowski, who had 8 saves for the game. "I was looking at (the shooter's) stance and I knew that he looked the other way. I usually don't look at the eyes. I was just looking as he swung. I kind of guessed, but not really. Then I just dove for it."

Niedzwicki followed up with the winning boot, hitting a shot past 6-foot-5 keeper Will Dunne.

"I knew to take it to the corner," Niedzwicki said. "I just had to have a lot of confidence. I thought he might get it because I went up the middle and his leg touched the ball. I wasn't sure if it was going to in, but it did."

Oak Park opened the scoring in the 14th minute, as Evan Kindler knocked in a header. Lake Zurich responded early in the second half when Niedzwicki scored on a header of his own off an assist from Nate Rathe in the 42nd minute.

The Bears took a lead 2-1 late in the 78th minute. Brandon Klett was knocked down in the penalty area, and Scott Shadrick converted the penalty kick.

The Huskies rallied, scoring just over a minute later, as Kindler tallied his second goal on a header assisted by Max Klevgard.

Oak Park had an apparent goal in the final seconds waved off due to offsides. The teams then played a pair of five-minute overtimes, before heading to kicks.

"It was an exciting game," Lake Zurich coach Michael Schmitz said. "It was a lot of back and forth but we kept working hard. We created chances, but we had a tough time finishing. Give credit to (Oak Park) with a giant goalie. (Dunne) was very good. We hung in there to pull it out."
