Community invited to participate in CLC literary events

Aspiring poets are invited to the College of Lake County Literary Arts Society's Semi-Annual Poetry Slam from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 in Anderson Court at the Grayslake Campus. Each poet may present three original poems, with the chance to win gift card prizes. If you're not a poet, you're invited to come listen, react and engage with literary enthusiasts.

On Oct. 21, the society will host a "Lit Pit" from 1-3 p.m. in Anderson Court. At this event, participants can enjoy several rounds of fun competition, including trivia questions, expressive reading and more. Prizes will be given to winning teams. It is open to anyone regardless of literature experience.

Community members as well as CLC students are welcome to attend and participate at both events. Refreshments will be available.
