Attorney: Grand jury probe in Kane case to resume

Postponed grand jury proceedings concerning the sexual assault investigation of Blackhawks star Patrick Kane are expected to resume, according to a published report quoting Kane's attorney.

Paul Cambria, Kane's attorney, told the Chicago Tribune that he was "informed" the grand jury was being rescheduled. No date has been announced.

Kane is accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman at his lakefront home in Hamburg, New York, after leaving a popular nightclub in the community on Aug. 1.

Kane, 26, has not been charged with any crime in the case.

A grand jury hearing set to begin on Tuesday was postponed by the Erie County district attorney's office.
