District 75 brat fest

Students, parents, staff and residents are invited to Mundelein community's annual Brat Fest from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Carl Sandburg Middle School, 855 W. Hawley St., Mundelein. The event has been held for more than 40 years to celebrate the success of schools and their community. A meal is $5 per person, which includes a choice of a bratwurst, hot dog or tamale along with chips and soda or water. The point is to provide the Mundelein Elementary District 75 school board, administration, parents, students and staff an informal environment to visit while enjoying a meal, school officials say. The event is coordinated by the Mundelein District 75 PTO and features games and family activities, such as a moonwalk, photo booth, inflatable basketball, nail art and carnival games and a disc jockey.
