Free screenings, massage, games at senior Fall Festival

The Palatine Township Senior Center, 505 S. Quentin Road, Palatine, will host a Fall Festival, free and open to the public, from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14.

Enjoy free doughnuts and cider, screenings, demonstrations and activities. Visit the exhibitor tables with over 20 free raffles.

Free screenings include senior fitness testing and blood pressure readings. Enjoy a free chair massage and demonstrations of the new activities offered at PTSCC such as chair yoga, Tai Chi, line dancing, Wii sports, Bags and stamping, and find out how much fun these activities are to participate in.

See what other quality programs and services Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council offers and visit 23 of its supporters, offering expertise ranging from senior living facilities, in-home health care, medical providers, insurance, financial, legal assistance and more. The PTSCC Social Services department will be offering free senior entitlement screenings and Medicare information.

Caramel apples provided by Morkes Chocolates will be available for purchase. Raffle drawings will be held at 11:15 p.m. Stay for lunch served at 11:45 a.m. at "Our Place Cafe" for a $4 donation (for those 60 and older; up to the first 70 people registered).

PTSCC provides programs and services which support older adults and their families by encouraging independence, well-being and connection to the community. The Recreation, Education, Health and Wellness, Noon Dining, Home Delivered Meals, Adult Day Care, and Social Services programs are available to persons 50 and older and their families, who live in Palatine Township and the surrounding communities in the North and Northwest suburbs.
