Mundelein measures up against Loyola

Mundelein's boys soccer team remained undefeated Thursday, as the Mustangs scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 shutout of Loyola in the Glenbrook South tournament.

Bryan Alba had a goal and an assist in helping Mundelein improve to 4-0-1. Yann Nsoga also scored, and Kenny Adiyah had an assist as well. Keeper Eric Muniz made 4 saves in earning the shutout.

Warren 4, Crystal Lake South 0: At Barrington, the Blue Devils built a 2-0 lead by halftime.

Alex Fratila had 2 goals and an assist for Warren (3-1-1), which advanced to Saturday's championship game, while Ivan Esquivel and Matt Haight also scored. Declan Porter, Rickie Flores and Jason Schulz chippesd in assists. Blair McCormack had 3 saves in notching the shutout.

Crystal Lake South fell to 1-1-3.

Lakes 3, Maine East 0: Jeff Milostan had a goal and an assist for the Eagles, who got their first win of the season.

Nick Dydo and Zack Espinosa also scored for Lakes (1-3). Steve Gerrits also had an assist. Keepers Wade Parmly and Danny Wieczorek each made 5 saves in sharing the shutout for the Eagles.

Libertyville 3, Lake Forest 2: At Barrington, the Wildcats gotr goals from Nathan Edmunds, Kevin Reilly and Tucker Goebeler (penalty kick). Liam O'Connell had an assist for Libertyville (1-1).
