Images: #TBT remembers suburban Labor Day fun

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is generally regarded to be the unofficial end of summer.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers.
In addition to picnics throughout the area, suburbs including Buffalo Grove and Schaumburg have parades as part of their festivals on this day.
