Stevenson, Mundelein win by shutout
Stevenson's boys soccer team stayed undefeated Wednesday, as the Patriots blanked Schurz 4-0 in the Glenbrook South tournament.
Cooper Colvig scored twice and added an assist for Stevenson (3-0). Dennis Katzman and Jun Min also scored, while Ben Brandt contributed a pair of assists. Dean Lim also had an assist.
Jeremy Klaber (2 saves) and Ethan Kalis (3 saves) shared the shutout.
Mundelein 1, Glenbrook South 0: At Glenbrook South, the Mustangs won the tournament game as Jony Lucio scored the only goal on an assist from Yann Nsoga in the opening half.
Donnie Kvien made 5 saves in earning the shutout for Mundelein (3-1-1).
Antioch 2, Grayslake Central 1: Krystian Nikolov scored in the first half for the visiting Sequoits and Lucas Semitka knocked in the winning goal on a penalty kick in the second half.
Mickey West assisted on Nikolov's tally. Antioch (1-1) notched the 96th career win for coach Marni Polakow on the boys level.
Evan Cavalier scored Grayslake Central's goal.
Crystal Lake Central 4, Wauconda 3: At Wauconda, Teddy Kolva scored all 3 goals for the host Bulldogs in their tournament loss. Raffaele Consolvo, Erik Hernandez and Chris Fox had assists.
Wauconda 3, North Chicago 2: At Wauconda, the host Bulldogs got goals from Edwin Sariento, Jorge Arreguin and Teddy Kolva.
Warren 4, Wheaton-Warrenville South 3: Ivan Esquivel had 2 goals and an assist for the visiting Blue Devils.
Warren (2-1-1) also got goals from Martin Fuentes and Jason Schulz. Fuentes had an assist, as well, as did Jacob Luka and Kody Anderson.
