The manhunt for three gunmen involved in the fatal shooting of Fox Lake police Lt. Charles Gliniewicz continued last night into this morning. Fox Lake-area districts cancel classes today

School districts in the Fox Lake area announced last night that classes would be canceled today as the hunt for three suspects involved in the fatal shooting of Fox Lake's Lt. Charles Gliniewicz. " ... We have all decided that it is in the best interests of our students, the community, and law enforcement, to cancel school for tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, 2015," the district websites said. Police: Location of man reported armed in Crystal Lake is unknown

Crystal Lake police continue to search for a possibly armed man after they responded to the call of a disturbance yesterday afternoon in which a man had a handgun, police said. Police secured a perimeter around the house but later discovered the reportedly armed man was not inside, they said. Police said last night the man's whereabouts remained unknown but they did not think he was a danger to the community. Full story.

Work underway on Prospect High School's $13 million pool project

Construction on Prospect High School's $13 million state-of-the-art swimming pool is on track to be completed in August 2016, says Northwest Suburban High School District 214 Director of Operations Ted Birren. Palatine man accused of impersonating CIA officer

A Palatine man is facing felony charges after officials say he falsely posed as a CIA officer Friday at the Bartlett Police Department. The man represented himself to Bartlett police as a CIA employee with a fake badge and credentials, but Bartlett police say the suspected he was an impersonator. Full story.
