Rosebud's 40th anniversary

Rosebud Restaurants celebrate 40 years in business with an anniversary menu of signature dishes being offered now through Sept. 30. It includes the original eggplant salad with breaded eggplant, beefsteak tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, arugula, Italian dressing and balsamic for $14; the Rosebud pappardelle with homemade square noodles, tomato sauce and fresh basil for $21; the filet Italiano with garlic white wine sauce, chicken stock, vinegar peppers and roasted potatoes for $45; the Chicken Vesuvio, with roasted chicken on the bone, garlic, oregano, white wine, roasted potatoes and sweet peas for $27; and the chivalini Italian sausage with rapini, chicken stock, garlic and chili flakes for $17. Stix & Stones now open

Stix & Stones Wood Fired Pizza recently opened in Burr Ridge. Offering a blend of fast-casual with upscale dining, Stix & Stones cooks up wood-fired pizza, handmade sandwiches, salads, and specialty beers and wines. Specialty sandwiches include the house-roasted Twisted Turkey, with bacon, shredded lettuce, tomato, sun-dried aioli, shaved red onion and oregano, or the Hippie, which is a vegetarian sandwich with wild mushrooms on Peddler Bread, a dough made into a pita-like pocket.
