See Dundee area 'Then and Now' with local photographer and historian Thursday

On Thursday, Sept. 3, local photographer and historian Phil Aleo will be the featured speaker at the Dundee Township Lions Club meeting.

His slide presentation, "Then and Now," will focus on the Dundee area and how local sites have been transformed over the last 100 years.

Aleo has written six historical/photographic books. His books include: "Dundee Township Moments Frozen in Time," "The Midwest Motorsport Legend Meadowdale Raceways" and "The Chateau Louise." His latest book, soon to be released, is "Galena Illinois, A Timeless Treasure."

The Lions are opening this unique presentation to the public. The Lions meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Village Squire, 125 Washington St. in West Dundee.

Anyone interested should call the Lions president Jim McClung at (847) 567-7127 as soon as possible for reservations, which can include the meal for $15 or just the free presentation.
