Rolling Meadows Park District has board vacancy

The Rolling Meadows Park Board of Commissioners invites applicants to apply for an appointment to fill a vacancy on the park board.

According to the Illinois Park District Code, to be eligible for this seat an applicant must be a registered voter who has resided within the park district boundaries for at least one year prior to appointment.

Candidates are asked to submit a letter of interest describing why they are interested in serving on the park board along with a resume on or before noon Wednesday, Sept. 30. Information can be mailed/dropped off at the park district Administrative Office, 3000 Central Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008, or emailed to acharlesworth@rmparks.org.

The board plans to conduct interviews in October and appoint the new member at the regularly scheduled meeting Oct. 27. The candidate will serve the remainder of the term, which expires April 2019.
