West Dundee

• Marvin Carranza, 30, of the 600 block of St. John Street, Elgin, was charged Monday with aggravated DUI, not having a driver's license and obstructing identification, according to court records. He is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol near Route 31 and Boncosky Road on Sunday, police said. Because of a previous DUI charge from 2014, Carranza had a statutory summary suspension in effect at the time, officials said. After he was arrested, Carranza also gave a police officer a false name, reports said. His bail was set at $10,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Sept. 10.

Elgin

• Victor M. Rosado, 18, of the 0-100 block of Jane Drive, Elgin, was charged Monday with obstructing identification and five counts of resisting or obstructing a police officer, according to court records. Rosado is accused of pushing police officers and trying to flee arrest, records show. His bail was set at $30,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Sept. 16.

• Manuel Lopez, 25, of the 500 block of Elm Grove Drive, Elgin, was charged Sunday with possession of a controlled substance, according to court records. He had less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine, records show. His bail was set at $15,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Sept. 9.

• Samuel A. Herrera, 28, of the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue, Elgin, was charged Sunday with resisting or obstructing a police officer and possession of a stolen vehicle, court records show. His bail was set at $50,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Sept. 16.
