Have a drug or alcohol problem? Get free assessment in September

You've heard the statistics before … "Approximately one in every 10 Americans over the age of 12, roughly equal to the entire population of Texas, are addicted to alcohol and drugs" … so it's nothing new.

These are big numbers, and often difficult to break down in terms of individual and community responsibility.

It often comes down to support - listening, helping to find a treatment provider, and offering words of encouragement as he or she goes through the recovery journey.

In honor of National Recovery Month, Renz Addiction Counseling Center is offering free substance abuse assessments during September to community residents who think they may have an alcohol or drug problem.

The assessment involves completing a questionnaire and meeting with a counselor.

Free assessments are only available throughout the month at Renz Center's Two American Way in Elgin facility.

Appointments are necessary. For information or to schedule an appointment, call (847) 742-3545.
