Register for Twilight Shuffle Libertyville

Join your fellow runners for an evening run through downtown Libertyville, rain or shine, in the annual Twilight Shuffle 5K Run at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6. The race starts and finishes on Newberry Avenue in the heart of downtown Libertyville.

Elite and recreational runners, first-time racers, families (children must be 9 on day of race) and jogging stroller-pushers enjoy the 3.12-mile route.

One of MainStreet Libertyville's top fundraisers, the Twilight Shuffle Run has become one of northern Illinois' top 5K evening races, attracting close to 1,000 participants. The race offers professional chip-timing, a course with some moderate hills and enthusiastic spectators along the route.

After the race, join friends for dinner and rehydration at the post-race party at Mickey Finn's Brewery. Awards will be given for Fit Family and Fast Family.

Race admission is $35 for adults, $25 for youth ages 9-17 by Aug. 31. After that date, admission is $45 for adults, $30 for youth. Cook, or at packet pickup Friday and Saturday, Sept. 4 and 5, and until noon Sunday, Sept. 6, at Amphibian Multisport, 130 N. Milwaukee Ave. There is no walk-up registration at the race.
