World's Largest Truck Convoy coming to Sears Centre

The World's Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics is making the first of two Chicago-area stops at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29.

Illinois law enforcement officers will escort the convoy approximately 30 miles along Interstate 90, from Route 59 to Route 47 and back again.

Special Olympics athletes and families, the community, companies and law enforcement agencies will welcome the truckers as they return to the Sears Centre for lunch and a celebration, complete with awards, raffles and music.

The second Chicago-area stop will be at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Oct. 10.

The Sears Centre Arena is at 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in Hoffman Estates.
