CLC promotes Professional Touring Season
During September, the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at College of Lake County will highlight the 2015-16 Professional Touring Season with a series of midweek promotions.
"Check Us Out in September!" events will include giveaways, touring season event videos and games. Each week's event will have a different theme.
The five promotion events will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. outside the box office in the James Lumber Center rotunda lobby on the Grayslake Campus. The subscription drive for the 13 entertainment events within the center's 19th Professional Touring Season continues throughout September, ending Sept. 30. Single tickets went on sale Aug. 24.
The shows highlighted at each "Check Us Out in September!" event are:
• Wednesday, Sept. 2, - Classic Calls: Lake Forest Symphony; Sphinx Virtuosi.
• Thursday, Sept. 10, - Student Specials: Jay Pharoah comedy show; VoicePlay; Minneapolis Guitar Quartet.
• Wednesday, Sept. 16, - Musical Medley: Sphinx Virtuosi; Visions from Cape Breton and Beyond, A Celtic Family Celebration; Windham Hill: A Winter's Solstice Concert; and Mariachi Divas.
• Thursday, Sept. 24, - Unbelievably Unique: Ailey II Dance; Luma Art in Darkness; Manual Cinema's Lula del Ray.
•Wednesday, Sept. 30, - Hot Hits (final subscription day): Spooktacular; Jingle Bell Rock; The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes; The Peking Acrobats; Jim Witter's "The Piano Men;" and Jim Brickman.
Subscriptions offer the greatest cost savings and can be purchased at the box office in the James Lumber Center, Room P112, on the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St., or by phone.
Subscriptions are not available for online purchase, but patrons can learn more about the season at www.clcillinois.edu/tickets. For more information, call (847) 543-2300 (option 5). The box office is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Subscribers can purchase additional tickets throughout the whole season at a lower subscriber rate in addition to getting the best seats available. They also receive personalized assistance creating their subscription; handling and exchange fees waived; and ticket exchanges up to 24 hours prior to the event during regular box office hours.
