Lakemoor police help overdose victim

Lakemoor police said officers used naloxone to reverse the potential drug overdose of a 31-year-old Crystal Lake man found unconscious in a portable bathroom at Lakemoor Fest, authorities said.

Police were alerted by festival staff that the unidentified man was unconscious inside the bathroom, Police Chief Dave Godlewski said in a news release. Lakemoor police officers arrived a short time later and administered a dose of naloxone using an auto injector, Godlewski said.

Paramedics from McHenry Township Fire District arrived and administered a second dose of naloxone and transported the unidentified man to a hospital, Godlewski said. The Lakemoor Police Department received the opiate reversal drug and auto injectors in April.
