Palatine Stingrays 15U Girls Softball Team to Hold Tryouts

The Palatine Stingrays 15U team will be holding open tryouts on Saturday, August 22 at Pleasant Hill Elementary School ball fields, 434 W. Illinois Avenue, Palatine. Registration will be taken on site from 9:00am to 9:30am. General tryouts will be held from 9:30am to 11:30am. Pitchers and catchers should plan to stay for an additional tryout session from 11:30am to 12:00pm. There is no charge to attend the tryouts and all players will be rated by independent evaluators. Registration forms will be available at the tryout. The rain date will be Sunday, August 23.

The Palatine Stingrays are an organized travel softball team located in Palatine, Illinois. The Palatine Stingrays are an extension of Palatine Youth Baseball/Softball and Palatine Baseball Association, affiliates of Palatine Park District. The Stingrays organization is committed to developing sound softball mechanics and fundamentals as well as confidence in all Stingray players.

The Palatine Stingrays compete in the North Shore Fast Pitch League. Tournament schedules consist of USSSA, ASA, NSA, and PGF qualifiers. Teams typically play 2 to 3 tournaments in the fall along with several scrimmages in September and October. Indoor workouts are held from January through March.
