Sprout Kids Hosts fashion show

Sprout Kids will host its annual Fall 2015 'Trends of the Season' fashion show Saturday, August 22nd at 11am. Attendees will enjoy the FREE event that will feature a "Minion Mania" theme with Minions on hand to share in the fun with photo opportunities and crafts from 11am-1:30pm. Sprout Kids is located at 644 Central Avenue in Downtown Highland Park.

Sprout Kids 2015 Fall Fashion Show will feature 20 local, two to eight year old boys and girls, walking the runway dressed in the latest back-to-school fashions. "We have had some fabulous fashion forward kids walk our runway over the years," says Pamela Hillman, owner of Sprout Kids. "One girl is flying in from New York this year, and one girl is now an American Girl model."

Textures and fun fall colors are really big this year, along with coats and outerwear, warm fun patterns, leopard prints and rosettes. "We're seeing a lot of plaid, floral leggings, pretty muted pinks, purples, creams and blue for girls. For boys it's got to be comfortable, classic yet stylish. We're seeing a lot of navy, hunter green and, of course, plaid," says Hillman.

For the past three years the mom-owned boutique has hosted Spring and Fall Fashion Shows to showcase their unique lines, from trendy and urban styles to classic and traditional pieces.

Sprout Kids customers love the Mayoral brand for its beautiful quality at a great price in everything from casual print legging to tweed for the holidays. Some big sellers for Fall 2015 are vintage screen prints and fabulous Bitz Kids cargo pants from Japan which parents and kids love for their style and are nicely lined to be soft, warm and comfortable.

Shoes are classic and fashionable this year and Sprout Kids is now the only shop in the area selling children's shoes, including the popular Ugg Australia for Kids, Kamik, and Minnetonka.
