ADVANCED DISPOSAL PROMOTES JIM SMITH AS DISTRICT MANAGER IN ILLINOIS

Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Smith to District Manager for Illinois. Jim's new role places him in charge of operations for all Advanced Disposal sites within the state which includes eight hauling operations, seven transfer stations and three landfills.

Jim brings 25 years of industry experience to the position. Most recently he was the General Manger to the Sheboygan and Chilton hauling facilities for Advanced Disposal. Jim has worked in the waste industry abroad as the Senior Division Controller for WM International, leading financial analysis for hauling operations in Sweden and the Netherlands. He would go on to serve as Director of Operations for Waste Management in the U.S. before becoming President and CEO of Eagle Waste & Recycling Services, and later JHS Enterprises in Denver, Colorado.
