Streamwood man pleads guilty to possessing child porn
A Streamwood man who lived at a home that had a day-care business pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and must register as a sex offender, court records show.
In exchange for his guilty plea to the class 3 felony, Charles Brown, 51, was sentenced to 30 months probation and ordered to pay $2,894 in fines, court records show.
Brown was arrested in January at his home, where his wife operates a day care, following an investigation by the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Streamwood and Bartlett police departments, prosecutors said.
Among items police recovered from Brown's home computer were images and videos depicting children engaging in sex acts, prosecutors said.
As a condition of bond, Brown was not allowed to live at the home or access the Internet or cellphones, prosecutors said.
