Hoffman Estates temple helps harvest onions in Israel

In June, 49 members of Beth Tikvah Congregation in Hoffman Estates traveled to Israel. As part of their trip they partnered with Leket, Israel's largest food bank, to help pick 3,200 kilos of onions (roughly 7,000 pounds) in the fields of the Jezreel Valley to help feed more than 400 needy families.

The work was part of an 11-day trip to Israel, which also included tours of several cities and religious sites.
