Free identity theft program

A free program involving protection from identity theft will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, at the Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. A representative from the Illinois Office of the Comptroller's Consumer Affairs Division will highlight how to identify potential scams and fraud, and protect oneself from identity theft. The program is presented in conjunction with the GLMV Chamber of Commerce. Participants can bring a lunch, and dessert will be provided.
