Southern-style chili goes perfectly with hot dogs

Summer cookout season is in full swing. For me, the ultimate grilled treat is a hot dog. Southern-style hot dogs are loaded with chili and slaw with a healthy smear of mustard. They can be messy, but oh my, are they delicious!

Today's recipe makes those wonderfully sloppy dogs possible with a classic chili you are going to love. The recipe makes a quart of chili. But fear not — it freezes beautifully, so you can enjoy it later in the fall, no matter how small your gathering. The no-beans chili is also great on burgers and baked potatoes, so your dining possibilities aren't limited.

I'm sure you will come up with more great ways to use your chili leftovers. Please share them on kitchenscoop.com, so we all can enjoy!
