One injured in Batavia rollover crash

A 50-year-old Batavia woman received a scare but suffered no serious injuries after her SUV was hit and rolled on its side Monday afternoon at Randall Road and Fabyan Parkway in Batavia, police said.

The woman, who was driving a 2002 Honda CRV, received a ticket for running a red light at Randall Road at 1:29 p.m. and a 60-year-old Plainfield man who struck her SUV was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, said Batavia Police Cmdr. Erik Mathewson.

"She was fine, other than she couldn't get out of her seat belt because (the SUV) was on its side," Mathewson said.

Mathewson did not know if the woman was traveling north or south on Randall or if the Plainfield man, who was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, was going east or west on Fabyan Parkway.
