Naperville's Hunter Woods playground gets new equipment

The Naperville Park District invites the community to help celebrate the reopening of the playground at Hunters Woods at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at 2007 Lakeview Court, Naperville.

Neighbors are invited to bring their families and friends to participate in a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, enjoy refreshments and giveaways, and check out the new play equipment and landscaping.

The playground design was based on input from neighbors and includes state-of-the-art play equipment accessible to children of all abilities. The playground has separate play structures for 2- to 5-year-olds and 5- to 12-year-olds, and features tunnel slides and traditional slides, a rock climbing wall and a car spring toy. The picnic shelter has four tables with seating for approximately 30 people.

In the event of inclement weather, the playground celebration will be rescheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 15. Residents can check the weather cancellations tab at napervilleparks.org for updates.
