Fan Favorite voting on now for Suburban Chicago's Got Talent

Online voting is underway for Suburban Chicago's Got Talent, with the most votes tallied over three days giving one act a guaranteed spot in the next round.

Nineteen acts in the summerlong competition performed Sunday at the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg. One of the acts initially chosen as part of the Top 20 could not perform and was eliminated.

The public can watch videos from Sunday's performances at dailyherald.com/entertainment/talent and then cast votes for a Fan Favorite. Voting goes through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, July 9.

Fifteen of the remaining performers — including the act with the highest number of online votes — will move on to perform again on Sunday, July 19. The contestant with the most online votes following all rounds of competition will win a Funjet Vacation for two.

The ultimate winner of the competition, now in its fourth year, will be chosen by the judges next month. The winner will receive a “STARter Kit” promotional package that includes the chance to perform at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles as an opening act for a major headliner.

Suburban Chicago's Got Talent is sponsored by the Daily Herald, the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg, Onesti Entertainment, AMITA Health, Rohrman Auto Group, Salon Lorrene in Palatine and the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce.
