'Beat the heat' with Third Tuesday Supper July 21

The Third Tuesday Suppers will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. July 21 at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St.

The July menu with the theme "Beat the Heat Summer Supper" will feature all-beef sloppy joes on a generous bun, fresh corn, Caprese salads of tomato, basil and mozzarella with vinaigrette, and the popular dessert buffet featuring Baker's favorite recipes. Hot dogs and carrots and dip are available as an alternative meal. They prepare 700 meals of the featured menu and apologize if you arrive and substitutions have been made.

The suppers are now serving 550 to 600 guests and are still free to all who show up and no reservations needed. Guests from all over the Fox Valley and beyond. Dinner is served in the air-conditioned and elevator accessible first-floor dining hall. Diners may eat in or carry out their meal.

Anyone wishing to donate money to the supper program can do so by sending a check to the church office marked Third Tuesday Suppers, or donating in The Quiet Can that sits on the beverage table on supper night. All funds received go directly to supper expenses.
