Submitted by Concordia University

Concordia University Wisconsin's Kenosha Center just wrapped up a donation drive benefiting Midwest Veterans Closet. The nonprofit organization helps veterans transition from military to civilian life and is at 2323 Green Bay, North Chicago.

Students, staff and faculty at CUW's Kenosha Center donated and delivered clothing and household items to Midwest Veterans Closets. CUW graduate Mary Carmody, '13, organized the effort. The Kenosha Center chooses one philanthropy project each term as way to give back to the community and fulfill the university's mission.

"It's important to reach out and help others, whether it be a Lutheran organization or a food pantry," said Alston Godbolt, director of CUW's Kenosha Center.
