Glenbard parent series strongest yet

I want to express my deep appreciation for the generous sponsors of the Glenbard Parent Series, including annual sponsors: Cebrin Goodman Center, Cooperative Association for Special Education, College of DuPage, DuPage Medical Group, Emmy Gaffey Foundation and Trust Company of Illinois.

Their generosity and support helped make the 2014-15 year of programing our strongest ever.

The Glenbard Parent Series aims to facilitate real-world parenting skills that will enhance our teens' social and emotional development, encourage responsible decision-making skills and promote respect-based relationships that will keep our adolescents safe. Thanks to very generous sponsors, this series engages top experts in helping our families become proactive and informed. GPS programs are free and open to the community.

Additional support was provided by JR McBride, Glen Oaks Auxiliary, Community Consolidated School District 93, Fuel Up To Play 60 (Midwest Dairy Council & NFL), Huck Bouma Attorneys at Law, Helping Girls Navigating Adolescence, Northwestern Medicine Behavioral Health at Central DuPage Hospital, Rosecrance Health Network, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, Linden Oaks at Edward, FORWARD, DuPage County Health Department, Make a Memory Foundation, B R Ryall YMCA, First Hitter/ Bruce Capel Foundation with in-kind donations from Arbor Management and Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Carol Stream.

Thanks also to our allied partners, Marquardt School District 15, Queen Bee School District 16, Glen Ellyn School District 41, Lombard School District 44, Community Consolidated School District 89 and Community Consolidated School District 93.

Thanks to these sponsors, we are able to provide practical, insightful programs to parents in our community and from throughout the region. We are looking forward to another great year of programs starting in August with Family Read with Carlotta Walls LaNier, "A Mighty Long Way - My Journey to Justice at Little Rock Central High School."
