Geneva's Got Talent performers to take the stage

The Geneva Park District along with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce has partnered to host Geneva's Got Talent.

On May 16, auditions were held for the talent competition. Contestants auditioned for a chance to perform at the semifinals during the 2015 Swedish Days Festival.

The talent level was extremely high as judges Terry Skreens, Eric Elftmann and Leah Leman chose 20 acts to move forward and perform during Swedish Days. The types of acts ranged from vocalists and pianists, to dancers and bands.

Semifinalists will compete on the Central Stage at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24. Judges' votes combined with public Facebook votes will carry on 10 acts to the finals Sunday, June 27.

Those contestants will then perform at 6:30 p.m. on the Central Stage for a chance to win first place and $1,000 cash prize. Facebook voting will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, and will end at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26. Individuals can vote for their favorite act by liking their photo on the Geneva Park District's Facebook page.

Semifinalists include Dina Bach, Emily Schmid, Megan O'Brien, Lilly Nowak, Molly Carberry, Aliyah Starks, Megan Styrna, Kayla Tejero, Emma Pettyjohn, Courtney Schmit, Madeline Conter, Alyssa Mendoza, Kyle Pullman.

And Summer Monkeys, Elyse Chapski, Future Rockettes, Hannah Caballero, Matt Skirmont, Rhythm Nation and Fire the Cannon.
