The Friends of McHenry County College Foundation offers "Educational Seminar Series: Helping You Build a Successful Future." Presenters are experts in their field and volunteer their time to share their knowledge on topics of interest. A series of free, informational seminars will be offered as a public service by these professionals to the McHenry County College community.

The seminar that will be offered is "Paying for College: For Your Children, Grandchildren and Yourself," presented by Chris Werner, vice president of external wholesales at Oppenheimer Funds Inc. He is responsible for wholesaling Oppenheimer 529 plans to financial advisors throughout the Midwest and Southwest regions.

It will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in conference room B166-167 at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

This seminar series is ideal for parents, grandparents or family members of soon-to-be college students, high school or college students, parents of young children who are planning their financial future, and high school administrators or counselors seeking resources to help students.

The seminars are free and open to the public. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is strongly encouraged. To reserve a seat or for more information, contact the Friends of McHenry County College Foundation Office at (815) 455-8721.

These are no-pressure learning opportunities. Attendees are under no obligation to utilize the services of the guest speaker that will be providing professional advice.
