Hampshire Highlands opens Sheridan model

Hampshire Highlands showcases the Sheridan model home in the new community of 42 single-family homes in an attractive country setting in Hampshire.

Homebuyers who want more space for their growing families can select from ranch-style and two-story homes with family-friendly features. Designs offer flexibility and livability to accommodate families of all sizes, said Debbie Beaver, vice president of operations for the Chicago Division of William Ryan Homes, developer of Hampshire Highlands.

Hampshire has been in transition from an agricultural town to a small bedroom community with modern conveniences. Its small-town charm, rolling hills and scattered farms give it a distinctive character that draws homebuyers to the suburb, which is along the I-90 corridor.

Beaver said these homes are attractive to people who decide to live in Hampshire because they're looking for open space and recreation. They have four-wheelers, boats and Jet Skis. With that in mind, she said the builder offers a five-car garage, three-cars wide and two deep, as an option with all floor plans.

"These homes are also very appealing to people who have lived in Hampshire and are now looking to age in place. Our ranch plans are spacious with lookout and walkout lots that are also doing very well."

At Hampshire Highlands, William Ryan Homes offers more than 10 floor plans at with three or four bedrooms, 2½ baths and basements in most homes.

The featured Sheridan model is base priced from $269,990. It offers 2,917 square feet, four bedrooms, 2½ baths, a full basement and four-car tandem garage. The design is shown with several options.

The two-story foyer welcomes you into the living and dining rooms where panel molding and area rugs add interest. With a coffered ceiling, the dining room shows a table set for six topped with a candle and floral display.

The chef's kitchen with walk-in pantry features a 9-foot super island with breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. A tile backsplash adds a decorative touch to the space. Off the kitchen, the builder's signature morning room offers a delightful spot for casual meals, and doors open to the deck.

The extended family area features a sofa and love seat topped with an array of pillows, fireplace with granite surround and a corner desk that overlooks the outdoors.

French doors lead into the study, a private space furnished with a desk and open bookcases with a display of favorite pieces.

On the main level, a mudroom with cubbies and closet sits off the garage entry.

Upstairs, the master suite features a tray ceiling, beautiful dark wood furnishings including a dresser and chest of drawers that give the space a rich look and walk-in and wall closets. The private designer bath features a double-bowl vanity, soaking tub and walk-in shower.

Secondary bedrooms include a boy's room with a Spider-Man theme with a blue ceiling and hand painting on its yellow walls. Another room with a lively décor of orange, pink and gray walls paired with white furnishings is sure to impress a young girl.

A fourth bedroom shows a painted geometric design with red and orange and a colorful spread, desk and walk-in closet.

A second bath and laundry room complete this level.

To visit the community, take I-90 west to Route 47, travel south to Route 72, west to Runge Road, left on Jake Lane and left on Karen Drive to the model home at 442 Zachary Drive.
